a  play by Mari Salinas

Three strong Latina women and their white sister survive, fight, help each other, find light and struggle to bring change as they deal with religion, race, men and most of all each other.  The play is set in a community center in the Seattle area.

About the Author (Mari)

Mari Salinas was born in Texas, raised in Chicago and then went to high school in Kent where she lives now.  She has a masters in English Literature from the University of Washington and has worked at many jobs from waitress to hotel manger and for many years and was a translator for the Seattle School system.  She is a mother and finds time to write and read poetry.  She has been involved with DAMN (Dramatists and Actors Meeting Now) and WARP (Writers and Actors Reading and Performing) as a writer, actor, director and dancing duck.  This play was developed in readings at the group which meets every Tuesday at the Odd Duck on Capitol Hill.
